Game Introduction:

Blitz Brigade is Gameloft’s latest mobile FPS both available for iOS and Android. You can play this game on your iPhone, iPad and other Android phones and tablets. We have been playing the game since it debuts on App Store. Here we are preparing a full list of strategy tips for you, hopefully, that could help you get started with the game quickly and become the best shooter in Blitz Brigade.

Training Missions (Single-Player)

  • There are 16 puzzle pieces hidden across each mission’s 10 stages. Collect them all to reveal concept art for the game.
  • You will earn some gold and XP for completing each stage for the first time, regardless of how well you do.
  • Each stage has three score-based stars to unlock. High scores are all about getting a high multiplier and not letting it reset.
  • There are six hidden objects in each map (barrel, crow, coin, rocket, helmet, giftbox). Hitting them will add to your multiplier and keep it from resetting. Hit them when there are lulls in the onslaught of enemies to make sure your multiplier stays high. The objects are always hidden in the same place on each map so memorize their locations and then replay stages to get all three stars.
  • You can collect objects and puzzle pieces by touching them with your character or shooting them.
  • The barrel will explode and damage nearby enemies when you shoot it. The giftbox will start a slot machine that can give you more health, ammo, or a nuke that will destroy all enemies currently on the map.
  • The stage will not advance until you kill the last enemy in a wave. Keep that last enemy alive while you scour the map for its hidden puzzle pieces.
  • There are a few ways to earn point bonuses, but they are not as important in getting a high score as keeping up your multiplier is. Getting multiple headshots, kill chains, and multikills will all earn bonus points. Multikills are easiest to get by throwing grenades or exploding barrels.
  • Some enemies throw grenades. You can shoot the grenades to detonate them early. Doing so will increase your multiplier and keep you healthy.
  • The Survival missions are the best for multiplayer practice because you’ll have full control of your character. Skills that are particularly difficult, and therefore worth practicing in multiplayer: getting headshots while looking down your gun’s sights, hitting enemies with melee attacks while moving around them, and scoring headshots while moving.

Play Online (Multiplayer)

  • Aim for the head to deal the most damage.
  • Learn how to use a combination of the touch and tilt controls. The touch controls are good for aiming quickly over a broad area, the tilt controls are good for aiming precisely over a small area. Use the touch controls to point in the general direction you want to move and the tilt controls to aim at enemies. If you are aiming at an enemy’s torso, a gentle tilt upwards will lock the aim assist on his head. A good rule of thumb is to use the touch controls if you need to turn at least 90 degrees.
  • There is no limitation on how long you sprint. The only danger is that you cannot attack while sprinting. If you try to attack while sprinting, you will slow down, fire, and then start sprinting again. This can actually work well to perform hit-and-run melee attacks.
  • Tap the weapon button in the top-right corner to manually reload. Swipe the button to change your weapon. If you are in the middle of a firefight and you need to reload, changing your weapon is faster and can be the difference between winning or losing the fight.
  • You can use vehicles to run over opponents.
  • Jumping is rarely needed, but can be used to climb on top of obstacles to gain a great vantage point for shooting enemies.
  • Keep an eye on the minimap. It will show you where you can find flags, allies, opponents, vehicles, and supply crates. If you notice you are being followed, you can surprise your stalker by hitting the bottom left button to turn around instantly. You should always check whether you’re being followed if you run away in the middle of a fight.
  • When a game ends, stay in the lobby. A new game will start in 30 seconds, which is usually less than it would take to find a new game.
  • There will always be one multiplayer mission available for you. If you complete it, you will earn bonus gold and XP. Remember to go back to the multiplayer to claim your reward and see what the next mission is!

The Classes

Know the advantages and disadvantages of your class. Playing to the strengths of your class can dramatically improve your results. If you are having a hard time surviving in a certain game, you can always change your class mid-match while waiting to respawn.

Soldier: Well-rounded stats and can capture flags faster.
Gunner: Slow but hard to kill. High rates of fire allow Gunners to lay down suppressing fire.
Medic: Primary gun heals allies and the shotgun is extremely powerful at close range.
Sniper: Terrible at close combat but excellent at taking down players and vehicles from a distance.
Stealth: Fastest and can turn invisible when not attacking. Uses silent primary and melee weapons.

  • The Medic’s primary gun will heal allies and harm opponents. When playing as the Medic, you will receive waypoints showing you where your closest ally that needs your help is. You will gain XP every time you restore an ally to full health.
  • The next three points give more information about the two locked classes (Stealth and Sniper) to help you decide if you want to unlock them with XP or diamonds.
  • The Stealth class is unlocked at level 15 or can be purchased with 100 diamonds. The Sniper class is unlocked at level 25 or can be purchased for 150 diamonds. Both classes can be purchased together in the Elite Pack bundle for 600 diamonds (650 diamonds cost $19.99). The pack includes three weapons for each of them and premium upgrades for all six weapons. The Elite Pack costs 350 less diamonds than if you paid with diamonds for all of its contents separately.
  • The Stealth class is super fast but very fragile. It has excellent melee weapons, but hitting a moving target with melee weapons is pretty difficult. The Stealth class can turn invisible for extended periods of time. The only things you can’t do while you’re invisible is capture flags or continuously attack (you can attack once while invisible, attacking turns off your invisibility). Invisibility is great in Dominion for sprinting between flags while invisible.
  • The Sniper class is horrible at close combat. it has very low health and its primary weapon does not have an on-screen reticule, so you must look through the scope to aim accurately. However, the Sniper class has the most powerful gun in the game. It will kill other players with a single headshot, even from far distances. It is also amazing for taking down vehicles – a helicopter will go down in two or three shots.

Currency, Shopping, and Unlockables

  • Warning! There are no confirmation screens when you try to purchase something with coins or diamonds. If you can afford the purchase, it will happen IMMEDIATELY.
  • It is a good idea to spend 30 of your initial 35 diamonds to fully upgrade the primary weapon of your favorite class. It will instantly provide you with all three XP-based bonuses for that gun and a premium bonus you can only get with the diamonds. The premium bonus will make the gun appear golden, keep it at 100% durability permanently, and give you a 10% bonus on movement speed and kill XP while it is equipped.
  • If you are going to be playing the game for a while, getting one of the cheapest in-app purchases ($1.99) is a good idea. Any currency purchase will grant you permanent VIP status. You’ll earn 50% more XP and 10% more gold for life.
  • Repair your weapons regularly. Weapons with lowered durability suffer from performance penalties. These penalties include lowered accuracy and lowered rate of fire. Penalties can be seen in detail in the Shop or Armory by tapping a weapons XP bar and then switching to the Durability tab.
