Redline Rush is a vehicle-based runner that puts you in control of a customizable racing car to collect coins, upgrades and boosts in the crowed traffic while staying away from pressing police cars, helicopters and more. It is an imaginative mix of Parkour and racing, reminding us of Temple Run, Need for Speed: Hot Persuit, Real Racing GTI and more. After hours of fun, I wish to share my experience with you so that you can master the game quickly and enjoy the full measure of thrill and fun the game has to offer.
Create a fancy racing car of your own
You cannot do without a car on the perilous highway in Redline Rush, even if you are an ace race driver. And a car to your own taste will boost your confidence and pride alike, which is very helpful for you to stay clear-minded and concentrated on the hectic road, so make sure you have your favorite one at the very beginning. Follow the Car Dealer to his place, and you will see a whole array of cars classified into three tiers. Though you can only gain access to two tier-one types at the outset, there is still much you can do to create a car feeding into your own preference. If you aim to get a very high score in each run, you would like Welara, a muscle car that always brings 5% more scores. But if you like extra bonus coins, Steed is your best choice. As each of them is priced at 5000 coins, and you start with 7000-something coins, obviously you cannot have them both at this stage. Don’t be greedy. Just choose what you value most. Then it’s time to imprint on your car something that is characteristic of you. Respray it with your own favorite color or give it a vinyl as you like.
Choose the control system that suits you better
After having your own fancy car, you are ready to hit the highway. To make sure you have fun on the road, you must master its control, which by the way is really easy. Actually, you can choose among two options in the game’s settings, in case you have not noticed it. Unfortunately, the game does not support gyro control, but we can make do with the virtual controls. I would suggest you choose the one with the direction arrows on two sides which will enable you to respond faster to the environments.
Make compromises when need be to level up fast
Remember you are not here in the game to have a leisurely drive. You’ve got to collect gold coins, inflict takedowns to other cars, and get out harm’s way - the police, barricades and more. Drive over the coins, boosts and upgrades, you collect them automatically. There are lots of them on the way, and you know you cannot have them all. Don’t be greedy. Whatever you do, at the initial several rounds when you don’t have boosts like Sonic Attacks or Shield, don’t run into a pillar, trucks or other cars. Otherwise you round ends immediately. Sometimes, it is wise to give up some for the time being and pick up more later in your run. What’s more, some levels don’t even require you to get certain things, so why risking your death to achieve something not useful to your leveling up at all?
Drop a few coins on updates and boosts
When you have picked up enough coins, it is wise to spend some on upgrades and boosts. For instance, you pick up a magnet on your way, you can increase its duration so that you can get more coins in one run. Likewise Nitro duration, Double Score duration and more all help you to go further into the game and gain more rewards. You can spend your money according to the missions.
Head for the top of leaderboards
Since you are scored each round based on the distance, number of collectibles and how fast you finish the missions, it is very important to strike a balance among them, rather than focus on one aspect only. However juggling several tasks at the same time may not be as easy as it sounds. Still, distance plays a very important role, so if you are not good at collect things, just stay alive. As long as you are alive, there are lots of chances to get the things you want gradually.
Fill your garage with first-rate cars
As I said at the beginning, cars come in different tiers and have different abilities. So you might as well try out more cars when you have enough money. Though the game plays out basically the same regardless of whichever car you are in, the right car will help you cope with some missions more effectively. If you want to go further, you definitely want to try Thunder, but when you need more coins, GMT surely comes in handy.
Make a saving to race on new landscapes
After dozens of runs, you are all very likely to get tired of the same landscape, so why not save a little in each run so that you can race into new areas? Rome is not built in a day. Just give it a little patience, and you will surely access to enhanced experiences.
