At GDC 2013, GunMedia, partnering with Robert Bowling, the designer of Modern Warfare and Call of Duty, revealed their new iOS title called Breach & Clear, with a pile of screenshots and a hands-on video.
Breach & Clear is a turn-based strategy shooter, with similar gameplay to that of Rainbow six and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon. You will act as the commander of a squad of four special operation soldiers, each with a distinctive characteristic. You can give orders to them for missions, or they may fulfill certain tasks by themselves sometimes.
The game is free to play, though a handful of premium weapons will be available. These weapons will not be guarantee of advantage and will not break the balance between forces. This aims to keep the game even, if multiplayer mode is supplemented in the future, as the developer put it.
GunMedia did not reveal the exact launch date of the game. But we may expect to witness it hitting iOS and Android this spring.
