Last month, Team 17 Software, developer of Worms series, announced they will release Worms 3 on August and today the game officially launches for the New Zealand App Store and is scheduled to come out in US and other regions tomorrow.
The new sequel, which is priced at $4.99, adds a few new maps like Beach, spooky, farmyard and sewer, an all new class system (Heavy, Scientist, Scout and classic Soldier) as well as supports both D-Pad controls and touch controls. Also, players can now choose more weapons to attack enemies in both single and multiplayer mode.
One of the most impressive features for Worms 3 the developer highlighted is that players can now turn on a card mode to play strategic cards, which are classified into Bronze, Silver and Gold depending on their attributes.
If you are a longtime fan of Worms series, you can now download the App in the New Zealand App Store for $6.99 NZ Dollars or wait tomorrow to download in the US app store for $4.99 USD.
