Originally announced for Vita, Dragon’s Dogma Quest will also journey to iOS very soon in Japan, according to Capcom.
Capcom has announced that Dragon’s Dogma Quest for PlayStation Vita will be scheduled to be delivered in the fall of 2013 and an iOS version will be coming earlier than Vita version. The game will monetize through the in-app sale of items with free to play business mode.
According to the official press release, Dragon’s Dogma Quest will be a free to play action RPG that features 150 job classes and combines old and familiar monsters and beasts.
The environment of Dragon’s Dogma Quest will be drawn in 2D dot paintings of nostalgia. At the beginning of the game, the world is covered in darkness, and the new maps and characters will be unlocked gradually as players explore the world.
Judging from the screenshots, Battle of Dragon’s Dogma Quest is turn-based and works like that of Final Fantasy Tactics. It can be triggered when you encounter a monster. You should also have a chance to customize the equipment and jobs and adventure through towns and villages to complete quests.
