Ubisoft has announced that it will release “Prince of Persia: The Shadow and the Flame” on July 25. It is a new entry of the Prince of Persia franchise and will be priced at $2.99 at launch.
With 3D improved visuals and sound effects, the new title is reckoned as an upgraded version of the classic platformer Prince of Persia 2: The Shadow and the Flame and optimized for touch and gesture controls. Set 10 years after the original Prince of Persia, the new game keeps the 2D platformer-style, but enhances its combat system by adding multiple enemies and a combo system.
The game will also come with a social system, which allows players to share their highest scores with Facebook friends or to race for climbing up the leaderboards.
If you have played any of the Prince of Persia series, you will most likely enjoy this new iOS title too, as it will allow you to use either virtual joystick or gesture-based controls.
