Chris Sawyer, the maker of classic PC simulation games like Transport Tycoon and RollerCoaster Tycoon, is about to bring the long-running Transport Tycoon to iOS.
If you are not familiar with the game, it is a business simulation that casts players in control of a transport company. They are tasked to make as much profit as possible by transporting passengers and myriad goods via road, rail, sea and air. Many rival companies will compete with you too.
It was almost 20 years ago when we saw Transport Tycoon first came to life. Now it has undertaken a “painstaking” revision to fit touchscreen devices. Meanwhile, it keeps the elements “that made the original so great… Which, should be music to everyone’s proverbial ears”, according to Touch Arcade.
Though it’s not known yet when the game will be officially released, you can sign up in advance on the Transport Tycoon website to receive an email notification when it is available. Or you may follow us for further coverage.
