Following the release of a teaser trailer for Machines at War 3 last week, today Isotope 244 has launched its newest real-time strategy game Machines at War 3 on the New Zealand App Store. The game is a staggering version of what developer Isotope 244 said to remind you of Command and Conquer, Supreme Commander and Starfront in its perfect mix of RTS, Gamecenter Multiplayer and Radom map clashes.
According to the previous press release, the game will be scheduled to launch on October 02, 2013. It is a universal App for iPhone and iPad with a price tag of $6.99 and its initial size is 131 MB.
There are a lot of real-time strategy games in the App Store, most of which are multiplayer online. In Machines at War 3, you will both experience the single-player mission campaigns and online multiplayer combat with up to 130 types of units to train and upgrade, as well as a hundred technologies to research.
While Machines at War 3 for PC and Mac was available last year, it also received a great deal of positive reviews for its graphics, straightforward gameplay and randomly generated maps.
As most of RTS games go free to play in the App Store, Machines at War 3 still employs “Paid-to-Download” business model. I personally belive this monetization will not work well in the App store, potentially turning players away from trying this game, and ultimately they even don’t know how good it is.
Anyway, if you like it, you can now download it by clicking this link to the NZ App Store: https://itunes.apple.com/nz/app/machines-at-war-3/id646436754?mt=8
Note:
Currently, the game is only planned to launch on iOS. For Android version, it is still unclear whether it will be in their development plan. But stay tuned! Once we get the latest news about this game, we will update it.
