Ubisoft has just soft-launched a new mobile game “The Bot Squad” in the New Zealand App Store. The game turns out to be a great combination of puzzle and tower defense, feeling a lot like EA’s Dungeon Keeper with new interesting twists and turns. The game is set in the world of Dynamo City, an energy hub where your robot squad fights for energy. You will follow Electra Mk-21 of the Robot Assembly to recover the energy stolen by the Re-Volt.

The essential gameplay follows the pattern that you destroy the obstacles, obtain extra rewards, and in between, you will have to suffer attack from the defensive structure in the path to get the Energy Power. In this beta version of “The Bot Squad”, there are over 70 levels, each with a unique landscape of puzzle.

At first, you will only have access to the basic attack with your Drone. After you have completed a few levels, you are able to unlock other towerbots like Smacker, Blocker, Dual Smacker, Crusher and a lot of more.

Rather than rely on how you attack enemies, “The Bot Squad” instead focuses heavily on puzzle solving.
