Activision Publishing has just announced the official launch of a new Call of Duty game called Call of Duty: Strike Team for iPhone and iPad. The game is priced at $6.99 and its size is 1.31 GB.

According to the game’s iTunes description, Call of Duty: Strike Team allows players to fully customize their squad’s loadouts and abilities and freely switch between first person perspective and third person perspective. Meanwhile, players are able to play against their friends and track their achievements through leaderboard. However, the game does not support multiplayer mode and only offers two modes: Campaign mode and Survival mode. The campaign mode allows players to play through different environment around the world to complete missions and earn rewards. The survival mode is where you challenge your shooting skills and compete against increasingly aggressive enemies, and in principle, you will be able to track your enemy’s achievements like number of killings and stats to climb the leaderboad.
Call of Duty: Strike Team also has a new background set in the year 2020 and world’s superpowers are involved in a war for no reason. Surprisingly, the U.S. are also involved in a fearful strife. Your mission is to play a world leader and lead a Joint Special Operations Team to hunt down whoever should be responsible for this war.
The game contains pervasive language, violence and disturbing material, so you must be at least 17 years old to purchase and download this app. It also requires iOS 6.0 or later.
At this moment, the developer did not reveal any information regarding other platform releases, but we will keep you up to date once we get new update from this game.
On a side note, we will have a complete review soon.
