If you are a fan of physics-based puzzle games like Angry Birds, Cut the Rope, Cover Orange, etc., you will not be foreign to Siege Hero, one of the most popular puzzle games released for iOS in over 89 countries and downloaded 7 milion times. Now Siege Hero is back with a massive update that features a lot of spells, maps and levels.
Like the original Siege Hero, Siege Hero Wizards is not a universal App, but available for both iPhone and iPad with a price of $0.99. It is also built with In-App Purchases, allowing you to buy Mana and unleash spells to destroy those orcs and trolls to easily clear a level.
Controls of Siege Hero Wizards are simple enough to master. It lets you directly tap a target to unleash fire or stone to let defensive structures down and cause orcs dead instead of slingshotting to aim targets as you play in Angry Birds, . This makes the game more about strategy planning than luck.
Gameplay is almost identical to Siege Hero, with a few interesting magical items added. You will find it amazing to help you clear a level. Especially when you get such an item through your puzzle clearing adventure. No matter what items, physical or magical, you are using, you must have enough patience to think and plan your strategy and find the best point to attack. Remember, the few items you use, the more score you will get.
Siege Hero Wizards has a few improvements. Take Angry Birds for example, you will not be able to use power-ups to directly pass a level, not to mention the fact that you could be luck enough to get new weapons with magical powers. Early on, you can use fire to burn wood and balloon, as well as release Earthquake to crumble buildings. As the game progresses, you can get more spells and power-ups that boost your experience.
At this moment, the game is available with three new chapters: In a dark Forest, In a Forest Clearing, and In a deep Cave. The Into a Magic Portal will be coming soon.
Overall, the new sequel “Siege Hero: Wizards” follows what “Siege Hero” features in particular. On the surface, it is no different from the original. However, if you would love to invest more time and energy, you will find out that this new sequel has added a lot of new things and creative puzzles that are challenging enough. I highly recommend this game to anybody who love playing physics puzzle games.

This is indeed a beautifully drawn, well structured physics based puzzle game. The butt scratching orcs are fun to annihilate and will laugh gruffly if you fail. The levels are nicely challenging. Some solutions will be evident, leaving you to simply place and time the offense for a victorious assault. Others will force you try many tactics, but all are solvable. The IAP feature is not pushy and will appeal mostly to impatient folks.
I highly recommend Siege Hero and Seige Hero Wizards to players who are fans of Cover Orange and Cut the Rope!
