Developer TinyCo has just launched FAMILY GUY: The Quest for Stuff Mobile in the App Store and on Google Play. The game features all-new, original content written and voiced by FAMILY GUY talent updated regularly to play off current events, pop culture and the show’s 200+ episode catalogue.
The game is all about the story, the characters (and the randomness) that fans love about FAMILY GUY. Ex: Monocle man in the opening quest w/ Chris. The game was written by the same writers who do the show, and it’s apparent from the jump.
According to the official PR representative from the Family Guy team, Quests are designed for short spurts of gaming (and humor) - we see this as a game that people will play on the bus, on the toilet, on their commute, etc. but can also engage with for longer periods of time. You’ll never go longer than a minute without laughing.
FaceSpace - an in-game social network where the characters interact with each other, make sure you check this out and play around. As characters level up they post on FaceSpace and you can see all of the different outfits they can wear. Unlocks around 30 minutes in.
It’s not pay-to-win. Players can choose to pay if they want access to some exclusive content (outfits and decos). There is never a point in the game where users are forced to spend money.
Even when the game has collectibles, they play into the story. For example, when dressed as Mermaid Peter, you access specific Mermaid quest-lines like helping out a fisherman.
