First Look: Another Case Solved - Collect Clues by Connecting Lines

Another Case Solved is a very simple matching puzzle game from the developer of Puzzle Craft and it is now published by Chillingo. To say it is simple largely because of its core gameplay, but its simple gameplay is just decorated with rich narrative and classical art designs.

The title “Another Case Solved” reminds me of the Facebook game Criminal Case and Ubisoft’s latest iOS entry CSI: Hidden Crimes because all of these games share a common goal, that is, you’ll collect clues or evidences to solve cases. However, Another Case Solved differs from CSI: Hidden Crimes and Criminal Case in terms of gameplay. Rather than analyze evidence you’ve collected, you will simply connect lines of items required to complete a mission. That is to say, it is just a diversion of Candy Crush Saga, or Jelly Splash.

From my point of view, Another Case Solved isn’t too redundant due to its narratives that should have been a highlight. But for me, a pure puzzle gamer, I will definitely ignore those dialogues and jump into the core gaming board. That said, I don’t like Another Case Solved as much as I love Candy Crush Saga and Frozen Free Fall.

Another Case Solved is also flawed by some glitches. For example, if a case is in progress and you want to quit it, you don’t have such an option. Another problem is when you connect some items, it shows you “Close” icons that are very confusing. Good news is that Another Case Solved is free to play, so just take a try if you love solving puzzles as you read cases.
