First Look: Bug Heroes 2 - Multiplayer Added in This New Sequel

The original Bug Heroes was recognized with a lot of positive reviews from critics and players, but it lacks “Multiplayer” that should probably attract more players playing together online. As a new sequel “Bug Heroes 2” is coming out, I spent a few minutes into the game. Below is our first impression on Bug Heroes 2.

Upon entering the game, you will find there is an option to play Multiplayer. I just tap Multiplayer and see what is inside. There are three modes in Multiplayer - Coop , 1V1, and 2V2. Unluckily, I was unable to directly access one of these features because the Training Missions should be completed first before unlocking multiplayer battle.

Well, the Single player mode contains a whole set of training basics that will tell you how to move, battle and use your team of Bug Heroes. My first training mission is to kill some Grubs, which is a little tricky because I cannot find them following the “Arrow”. Finally I got them as I randomly moved around. To this sense, Bug Heroes 2 is not friendly to new comers because the Arrow is totally messed up. If you just follow the Arrow, you will be definitely lost in the game. In fact, there are a lot of useless Arrows that wrongly remind you of tapping.

Bug Heroes 2 is not okay for me. At least I don’t love such style of bug heroes. Apart from the art designs, its controls and perspective are not friendly to me. I saw some media called this sequel as a MOBA. I cannot agree with this opinion because the multiplayer is only limited to 2v2 and the battle is too simple, neither offering competitive strategy, nor have you cooperatively battle against enemies.

If you love the original game, you might as well try this new version as it adds the most anticipated multiplayer. If you are not interested in the first installment, just ignore this new one.
