Call of Duty®: Strike Team
No matter you’re a fan of Call of Duty, first-person shooters on iOS, or tactical games, you can all grab Strike Team to have some hours of joyful play time. As a first-person shooter, it is not as much fun to play on the touch screen as on PC or consoles. But there’s a plethora of high quality content and strategy in this package and it’s worth every penny it requires.

FIFA 14
FIFA 14 by EA Sports is the fifth entry in the series that you could play on iOS. And it has formed an annual release cycle like all other sports games. The improvements that the new game makes are pretty small but noticeable, which includes a graphic bump, updated rosters, and a bit of feature creep. Soccer fans won’t miss it.

Deer Hunter 2014
I’ve never been a fan of animal hunting in real life, and I guess no body is. Seeing one after another animal touching the ground after your shots is never a pleasant experience, but playing Deer Hunter 2014 does bring some guilty pleasure, especially as it introduces a Club Hunt feature, which allows multiple players to cooperate and hunt in the same field. If you are a hardcore sniper shooting fan, Deer Hunter 2014 deserves your deep engagement.

Shadowrun Returns
The classic pen-and-paper RPG Shadowrun, which was originally released in 1989, has just returned on iOS and Android. It is pretty much based on the original storyline and gameplay, but added more elements that can be enjoyed on the touch screen devices. Angry Birds Star Wars II
When discussing with friends on topics related to casual games on iOS, I don’t usually ask them “have you played Angry Birds?”, instead, I always come up with the question “how many versions of Angry Birds have you played? Indeed, there are way too many Angry Birds titles that are almost identical and easily confusing. The newly release Angry Birds Star Wars II, though bound with Star Wars, is nothing truly different at its core gameplay. Like it or not, it’s still the best physics-based puzzler franchise that has the most players engaged and addicted.

2013: Infected Wars
Despite the fact that there have been an overflow of zombie shooting titles on the iOS platform, the coming of 2013: Infected Wars somehow makes a difference. It’s an tremendous shooter with top-notch graphics, simplified controls, and a lot of IAP items. Its price tagged at $6.99 might have frighten a whole lot of players, moreover, its premium items set a stingy pay wall for casual players. So you have to be a real hardcore player to get deep enough into the play.

2K DRIVE
As Asphalt 8 cools down, another racing game star is rising up. It’s 2K Drive from 2K Sports, which is ambitious enough to challenge the dominance of Real Racing on the mobile platforms. But it seems most racing geeks don’t actually buy it, as everything in it seems a little bit sluggish and you have to work much harder to gain an edge when compared with other hits like NFS, Real Racing, Asphalt, etc.

Alice in Wonderland: A New Champion
Thanks to Disney, we can now enjoy a video game spawned from your favorite childhood story Alice in Wonderland. At its core, Alice in Wonderland: New Champion is nothing more than a re-skin of Disney’s Facebook-based adventure game Ghosts of Mistwood. However, it’s still tons of fun to embark on the adventure, especially with iconic characters we’ve been familiar with over the years.

Jungle Heat, presented by Russia-based Mail.ru, has been in Google Play Store for months and just landed on iOS at early September. It’s a Clash of Clans-like strategy game with a military theme. It may not become a hit like COC, but it has proven itself to have potential of becoming a competent alternative of COC on Android devices. By the way, it may be a little off topic, but you might be interested to know that Supercell is actively considering to port COC on the Android platform.
